Memories in the making.

With the Holidays upon us, and I am blessed with sweet memories of days gone by and am happy to be creating new memories

Who can have Thanksgiving come and not think of all the Blessings we are blessed with? As scary as this country seems to be becoming we still have so much. I have warm home and loving family. Even though my girls were each with their own little families this year, to know they are well and enjoying life is such a blessing.

We were blessed this year with 5 of Peter's nine children around our table. Our Thanksgiving was NOT a Norman Rockwell moment. We resorted to Chinett this year since all my nice dishes are in storage... which made for easy washing! Since our kitchen/dinning area is so tiny in this house, we moved out part of our living room furniture to make room for two card tables and we actually all sit together... no TV trays this time!We were happyto have all of 6'6" Jake park his long legs under our (card) table for a short while, he's such a great son and we love having him come around.

Keeping it real for us were...12 year old son, Jeff, sharing his love... as usual... by letting out one healthy fart earning a scowl from dad. 15 year daughter Charity chose to show up to the table sporting some Egyptian looking eye make-up (which for the sake of peace we ignored!) And 17 year old Codi shared her mashed potatoes with the whole family (see photo, lol)

.meanwahile our precious Catherine had to have 1st aid half way through the meal after pinching her pinky (and actually drawing blood) with her folding chair. OUCH! No fairytale here... just life. REAL family with real love! LOL

In another part of our world Jenn and her little family were stuck staying home for Thanksgiving because her toddler has "hand, foot and mouth disease" and she didn't want to share it with all the cousins. Lisa and her guys did take out Thanksgiving Dinner, since, like us, they are in cramped quarters and much of their stuff in storage as well.

But even if no one had the "ideal" Thanksgiving, I'm sure we could all agree...just being a family and having love, is wonderful! FAMILES ARE FOREVER BUT HOLLIDAYS COME AND GO!!!

Glad that you had the kids over and even with a little finger drama it sounds like it went well. Love you lots.
