Christmas 2008

For Christmas we got a whopping good deal...flights to Vegas for 19.00 each way! We had already decided to go, since we didn't have Peter's kids this year for Christmas & Jenn and Matt weren't able to travel since Matt had just had knee surgery. We were going to drive, however, some bad snow storms were headed our way so Peter got on line to check out the cost of flying. Yepeeeeee! It was cheaper to fly then drive!
We had a wonderful time. Jenn was trying to get over a cold and had no voice, and Matt was not at his best physically but up beat and fun and got right into the Christmas baking and candy making. The two little ones were sweet and excited and Grandma and Grandpa were glad to be there to enjoy them.

One of the first mornings we were there Peter and I were going to go for a walk and Caleb wanted to join us. Reese had just gotten out of the tub and since is was pretty cold (hey... it snowed there earlier in the week!) I wasn't planning on taking her. Peter, Caleb and I started across the street and the next thing I knew, here come Reese, no coat and bare footed! LOL

She didn't want to miss out, so I went back in the house and got her bundled up! She is a determined little spirit, just like her brother!
Christmas morning we opened gifts and the kids played with the cute kitchen center Matt and Jenn got them. Reese seemed to love the little purse and goodies we got to go inside for her and Caleb enjoyed making the elephant noises with the jungle set we got him. But I think the favorite gift we got them was a little book about the first Christmas. It lit up and played the tune of Silent Night. Caleb made sure we all got plenty of reading about the first Christmas!

I ended up getting part of Jennica's Christmas that Matt got for her. He got her a pair of
beautiful "diamond" ear rings but they bothered her ears. So thanks Matt, I love them! LOL

I guess this only allows so much space for each blog, so I'll post more pictures on another blog entry so I can get our Christmas in Vegas pictures on my Blog Space.
